Hello, how can we help?

15Hatfields: Built for corporate events

The best corporate venues do not just provide a space. They provide certainty. Certainty that the layout will work, the AV will not let you down, the team knows the plan and the guests will arrive without a logistics ordeal. That is the standard 15Hatfields is built around.

Location: one less thing to manage

You already know that getting guests to a venue in central London is its own logistics exercise. 15Hatfields removes most of it.

The venue is in SE1 - a ten minutes' walk from Blackfriars, Waterloo and Southwark. For delegates arriving from across London or by National Rail, there is no complicated last mile. No cab required, no elaborate directions to brief guests on.

For planners managing transport logistics and guest communications, that simplicity is worth something real. And for organisations with sustainability commitments, a venue this accessible by public transport supports carbon reporting in a way that a car-dependent location cannot.

Spaces: configured around the event, not the other way round

You know better than anyone that a room that fits the numbers on paper does not always work on the day. Entrance pinch points, nowhere for a quieter conversation, sightlines that do not reach the front - these are layout problems that no amount of good planning on your part can fix once you are in the building.

15Hatfields offers flexible spaces that can be configured around the specific shape of your event - whether that is a standing reception, a conference with breakout requirement, a private dining format, or a hybrid of all three. Our operations team will work through layout with you at the planning stage, not leave you to discover what does and does not work on arrival.

For corporate receptions specifically: there is a main space that carries the energy of the event alongside secondary areas that give guests somewhere to go when they want a different pace. The flow between spaces is deliberate. Guests move naturally through the space - because the layout is designed to support it.

AV: integrated, not improvised

We’ve all been to venues where the AV is a third-party arrangement that arrives on the morning of the event and is tested an hour before guests arrive.

At 15Hatfields, AV is fully integrated into the building. Screens, sound, microphones and lighting controls are part of the infrastructure - operated by people who know the space, tested as standard, and there are no last-minute surprises.

For hybrid events, this is particularly relevant. Remote delegate capability is built in, not bolted on. Audio quality, visual clarity and the ability to run a professional hybrid event without a separate technical producer on site are part of what the venue provides as standard.

Lighting options are fully flexible - adjustable to suit the atmosphere and format of your event.

Operations: a team that has thought about what you have thought about

The most reassuring thing a venue can offer an experienced planner is evidence that they take the operational detail as seriously as you do.

At 15Hatfields, our operations team is involved from brief through to close - not just for setup and handover. Running orders are built with input from people who know the building's flow. Dietary requirements are briefed across the whole team. There is a named contact throughout the event who knows the plan and has the authority to make decisions if something changes.

For PA and EA bookers managing a corporate event alongside everything else, this level of involvement is the difference between a venue that needs managing and one that manages itself.

On sustainability: ISO 20121 certification means the processes are documented and audited - energy, catering, waste, suppliers. If your procurement team or client asks for post-event sustainability data, we can provide it. Not estimates. Actual data.

What to confirm at planning stage

For experienced planners, this is less a checklist and more a prompt for the conversations worth having with any venue before an event is confirmed.

Spaces and flow

  • Layout walked through with operations team - not just shown on a floor plan

  • Service circulation routes agreed for canapé and drinks service

  • Secondary or breakout space confirmed and briefed to all staff

  • Accessibility requirements confirmed and communicated throughout

AV and atmosphere

  • AV tested at event volume in the configured room

  • Microphone confirmed and checked by the person using it on the day

  • Lighting states agreed and tested - arrival, atmosphere, key moments, close

  • Hybrid setup tested end-to-end where remote delegates are joining

Catering and service

  • Final numbers confirmed 72 hours out with a clear process for late changes

  • Dietary requirements briefed to all service staff - not just the kitchen

  • Canapé pass schedule mapped against the running order, not running independently of it

  • End-of-event logistics confirmed in writing

Day-of contact

  • Named operations contact confirmed with decision-making authority

  • Supplier arrival times and guest arrival window both communicated to venue

FAQs:

What formats does 15Hatfields accommodate?

Receptions, conferences, hybrid events, private dining and combinations of all of these. Spaces are flexible and configured around the event brief - the operations team will advise on what works for your specific format and numbers.

Is hybrid delivery supported as standard?

Yes. AV infrastructure supports hybrid events without requiring additional third-party equipment for standard setups. For more complex productions the team will advise on what additional resource is appropriate.

What sustainability data can you provide post-event?

As an ISO 20121 certified venue, we can provide documented data on energy, catering waste, food recovery and supplier management. If your organisation has ESG reporting requirements, this is available as a standard output rather than something that needs to be requested and assembled after the fact.

How far in advance should we book?

For autumn and pre-Christmas dates, six months is a practical minimum. For more flexible timing, three months typically gives sufficient planning runway. We will always tell you honestly what the timeline needs to look like for your event to be delivered properly.

What is the nearest station?

Blackfriars is approximately five minutes on foot. Waterloo and Southwark are both within ten minutes. London Bridge and City Thameslink are also within easy reach.
