Hello, how can we help?

15Hatfields' General Manager, Warren Campbell, has secured a place in micebook and Isla's Power 50 Green Champions.

He joins an elite group of events industry professionals who have been recognised for devoting their time, passion and energy to making a positive impact on the planet. Micebook’s new publication shares insights and inspirational stories from the Green Champions. On page 22, you can read about Warren’s story and the evolution of our leading sustainable venue in central London.

Back in 2008 Warren spearheaded the inception of 15Hatfields with support from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). Warren's mission from day one has been to demonstrate how it is possible for event planners to achieve sustainability in events without compromising on affordability, quality and first-class service.

Warren said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have been awarded a place on the Power 50 Green Champions list – particularly as it is the first initiative of its kind to shine a spotlight on those who are really determined to make a difference and ensure that sustainability is at the forefront of event planning and execution. It is a huge honour not only for me but for my entire team who are equally passionate to innovate and support by identifying and implementing new approaches, as well as embracing technological advances to reduce the venue’s environmental impact.”

Warren has also been shortlisted alongside two other individuals for a HOSPA Inspirational Sustainability Leader of the Year Award – results to be announced on 16 November! His infectious passion for sustainability has not only been a source of inspiration to our team but has seen him drive change in the wider events industry. Here's just some of the initiatives championed by team 15H in recent years:

2018

  • We supported the #OneLess bottle campaign to raise awareness of ocean pollution and became the first free water refill venue in central London.

  • We donated over two million wildflower seeds to event planners and delegates, helping to protect biodiversity and prevent the decline of bees.

2019

  • We introduced an industry-first Day Vegan Rate, offering event planners an extensive range of plant-based options.

  • We launched the #MakePlasticHistory campaign, sharing advice on how we eliminated single-plastic from our venue and across our supply chain.

2020

  • We joined with partners in London's Southbank to help launch The Cup Fund, a local recycling scheme for takeaway coffee cups.

2020-22

  • We set ourselves the ambitious challenge of becoming the UK's first palm oil free venue – conducting a full audit of products used by 15Hatfields and our suppliers, researching suitable alternatives, and liaising with suppliers to implement palm oil free solutions wherever possible.

2023

  • We hosted our first 100% palm oil free event, as part of a new fine dining partnership with Fairtrade caterers Boulevard Events.

  • We launched an online hub sharing insights from 15 years of innovation at our venue, detailing our extensive efforts to meet the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
